Does anyone happen to know who is pictured on this coin? I had always thought it was just a group of people in general — since that is what descriptions say that I've found online. But looking at it with magnification, my friend and I are guessing that the center person is Washington, one to the left is Jefferson, then Franklin, then Roosevelt. To the right maybe starts with Davy Crockett then Harriett Tubman? I'm amazed that if these are actual people being depicted that they aren't actually listed online anywhere that I can find. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I am unable to find anything regarding the coin or the Constitution on that link. Thank you for the effort though.

They are supposed to represent 13 diverse people. I guess you could make a case that some of them look like actual persons.

I think the people I describe above are unmistakably recognizable in the group. My friend and I, who have spent far too much time on this than makes sense, also think that the person to the right of Harriet Tubman is Thomas Edison.

I realize that I made a mistake above. Left of Washington is Franklin. Next is Jefferson.

While it seems likely that the figures drawn by the coin's designer - Patricia Verani - were based on actual individuals, the design does not - in the artist's own words - illustrate such. Instead, Ms. Verani has stated that it features "people from different eras of our history, occupations, races - a mix." I'm thinking anything else would be conjecture.
