Silverskunk Pillar of the Community United States 749 Posts	Posted 04/07/2025 4:09 pm Left me a Lovely coin. And I'm worried about the spot price of gold not at all. My weight and my collectors are part of the Legacy I'm leaving for my loved ones. Most of all my son who has an active interest in it and hopefully he'll pass that on to his kid. Theres just something about Gold isn't there and something about that Golden Eagle ? I just wish I had a time machine to go back to 2001 when I had the cash to buy $50 K+ of $240 oz gold. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 04/16/2025 01:17 am Beware :- With the price of gold skyrocketing, there is more of a temptation for the fakers to manufacture fakes with tungsten cores, with thick gold covering, either from recycled 90 % coin gold, or 99.999 pure gold, depending on the product. (Both tungsten and gold have a density of 19.3 g/cc.) Very deceiving bullion bars and coin fakes have been reported in the past, the coins to proof standard. Report this Post to the Staff
