To CCF! I'm thinking that the "doubling" you're seeing is just light induced doubling. The ear does look interesting though.

I agree with it being lighting problem, try to move coin around at different angles. The ear doubling looks too large from other examples in that area maybe it is zinc bubble? Can not say for sure though. Need better focused picture.

I use the digital microscope for these images. I have much more images. The problem is I don't have an SD card to be able to upload them to my iPad and that is actually like the screenshot of it or whatever to be able to upload it but I've been into collecting coins for quite some time Many years actually longer than I actually thought once they may be about 10 years now I've been into coin collecting I've been on this site many times looking at air coins. I've had many friends who brought me their coins, and you know looked at them with loops this year. I bought me the microscope. I even uploaded the photo to ChatGPT and ChatGPT said that it's a double die, not Machine Doubling, and that's why I posted it on here, but I do have a lot more of them give me just a little bit and I will see if I can get better shots of the doubling and yes, I know what you mean about the ear. I've seen it the other ears I've seen have a thinner area of it. This is actually the first double ear that has caught my eye that out of all the coins I've ever looked at and yes, it is large as you can see in the above photo the liberty on top of the liberty at the top one came from couch, collectibles video online and I just screenshot it it and took my photo on the Mac microscope and I just put them on top and bottom of each other to use my eyes and compare them and to me, they look 100% alike and now on couch collectible, he said that, although it wasn't certified as a double die that it did sell on ebay for a significant amount of money so I was taking it that he was been around about what saying this is a double die go ahead and have it certified I could be wrong.

Please do not post up screen shots of your scope.
They are too pixelated most times to be of any use.

I saw your comment about not having an SD Card, it would be a good idea to get one for uploading images.

as for the ones you already posted, I to think it is a lighting issue

That happens on ebay and all other sites to inexperience collectors.
Agree with lighting issues particularly images thru. microscope and improper lighting, let's not forgrt we've all been there and as they say, practice makes perfect, Numismatics is a wonderful and yet complex world of it's own.

to the Community!

In the future, please do not post photos of scope screens. Use the memory card or a USB cable to transfer images.
