I know that site and see what you mean. While I can't say what the problem is or whether or not it's temporary, I found the link below which will allow you to download and save pdf files of ALL the articles that used to be more readily available.

I reached out to the Special Collections Division of the Hesburgh Library, which is where the University of Notre Dame's colonial coin collection is housed, and this is the response I got about the missing articles:

"We are currently in the process of migrating those old websites to a new system. We would be happy to notify you once the websites are completed and transferred."

So in other words (and to paraphrase the Arnold Schwarzeneggar character in Terminator): "They'll be back."

Well, I've uploaded all 500 or so PDFs here and am building the index now. It should be completely done in 3-4 days. Once the index is done, I will start converting them to webpages as I can so they will be easier to index and work with.

Follow the progress here....

I've been getting them switched over to web pages. It's a slow process, though, because I have to use the Wayback Machine to get the images and correct spelling and grammatical issues.

I'm going to try to get 3-5 done a week, and I'm just working down from the beginning. I'm down to Continental Currency: 4/11/1778, Yorktown so far.
