Hi guys,
I have a coin that seems ancient, but I know nothing about coins. What do you guys think about this?

What is the size?

The first photo looks like the design of a coin (something like a cross or a monogram in the center, and lettering around). However the "lettering" though largely missing, just looks like V V V.

Not enough remaining detail to say...

Can you say where it was found?

It it was european or from around the Mediterranean I would compare with coins of the medieval period. Because of what looks like letters with broad, straight strokes around. If it was V V V it could be from those centuries.

But it it was found in Iran I can not make any guess.

Knowing the weight could be useful too. The more info that you can provide, the more likely we can help you. Also, welcome to CCF!

If found in Iran, I suspect it's a Persian (Iranian or Afghan) civic copper, ca. 18th-19th century.

There's a lot of types of those, usually found badly worn, and I'm not sure if the photos here are enough to determine which specific type it is.

EDIT: the VVV design is likely (part of) a crude sun face.

I couldn't get past the VVV being some kind of language, but now I see that it is indeed part of a sunface design, and what I htoguht was a facing portrait is actually the sun's nose. Similar to the one in this old thread:
An-Ancient-And-Old-Coin
Technically "Afghanistan", as it's from Herat; I don;t know the series well enough to say if all the sunface-coins are from Herat.
