Hi, just wondering about the reverse side of this coin and the blue outline of the memorial and lettering above it. Is it a variety? or just a cladding issue?

Looks like a split plating issue. Just so you know, Lincoln Cents from 1983 to present are copper plated, not clad. Some of the 1982 Lincoln Cents were made of copper and copper plated zinc. https://www.error-ref.com/split-plating/

Yes, appears to be a case of split plating.

Thanks, seem to find a lot of them and was wondering what causes it.
I'll try to be better with my terminology in the future.

Yep, just a platting issue caused by roller lines.

(But some 1982 and 1983 and newer cent coins are not 'clad' they are electroplated.)
