American Numismatic Society - In April 2016, in the town of Tomares (Seville, Spain), a large hoard from the Tetrarchy period was found hidden in 19 oil amphorae. Ruth Pliego (University of Seville) will present the research carried out in the nine years since its discovery, as part of an interdisciplinary project by the University of Seville, in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Seville. This project aims to study the monetary circulation and economic strategies of the Late Roman Empire in the province of Baetica. The numismatic study is managed using the open-source software Dedalo and its ontology Numisdata, which allows the team to work collaboratively.
