I found a 2008 Canadian teddy bear quarter that is missing the teddy bear. Wondering if this error is worth anything.

The design has either worn off, or been removed with acetone.
May not be a Teddy Bear coin, there are some other options of coloured coins that year.

I highly doubt that acetone will remove a design element from a coin, but it was carefully done somehow.

This coin is a "Multi-Ply plated steel coin (so no copper core like US Quarters)
So the design could have been 'erased' in numerous ways.

What does the obverse look like?
what is the weight? (4.4g is the norm here)

Dearborn, remember the design element of these coins is only printed on.

I agree, designed was likely removed with acetone or another solvent. PMD.

I believe the RCM used the pad printing process on these.
The ink is durable enough to not wear off but can be chemically removed.

A technical point, would you really call this damage?
There is no damage to the coin. I would call it an altered coin.
