A recent acquisition and sharp looking Walker.

Seeking your opinions on obverse spot at the base of the lower branch. I've looked at it at various angles, lighting and magnification. The best I can tell is it appears to be a recessed hole, perhaps struck through something.

However the edges appear ragged. Thanks for your thoughts:

I guess it could be, but looks recessed to me, like something eaten into the surface.

Would that be possible?

Would it be possible to be a burst gas bubble when the strike occurred?

looks like there's evidence of others previously removed perhaps from a quick dip?

Alright, thank you folks!

It's in a NGC MS 66 slab. Trying to decide whether to return it or not.

Yeah, I'd return it - For 66 money you would want a problem free example.
