This is my prettiest coin. I only know that it is ancient greek. The blue green patina and seemingly random high points of bronze is just so striking to me. Earned a spot on the display shelf! Just wanted to share.

It would be nice if we could help you pin it down a little more with an attribution @cis. Can you pls add the weight and diameter to this thread in case one of our Greek experts wants to take a run at identification? Thx.

I agree... beautiful! But for me knowing it's a coin is far less important than simply enjoying it as a beautiful object.

Somewhat related... your coin reminded me of a "Pawn Stars" episode where a person brought in a heavily worn Morgan dollar. I thought to myself, "This guy will be lucky to get the silver value for the coin." Come to find out, collecting heavily worn Morgan dollars is a legit subgroup in coin collecting. And I have to admit, the Morgan this person brought in was beautiful! For me, when coins are this worn it makes the focus more on the coin as an object of beauty or aesthetics and less about its value.

Cool idea to show us your piece of art! Thanks!

Here's another pretty coin. Roman 16mm diameter 1.9g weight. I love how the pink copper sparkles like glitter. So imperfect but pretty!
