I would not send it in for grading. It is hard to tell from the images, but this looks to be VF-35 / XF territory. I didn't look up the Overton # to see if it is a rarer issue.

I see a pleasant XF-40. Not financially beneficial to grade this coin, as it is worth about $100.

There are no rare varieties in 1835.
Suffering from bust half fever.

the lighting is not good in your photos to assess the surfaces properly plus they are out of focus. it looks somewhere in the XF area.

as for sending a coin in, there are only two reasons in my book to get a coin graded.

1. its a rare coin that needs authenticated and preserved
2. you are planning on selling the coin and the cost of acquisition plus the grading fee's would warrant it without chewing up all your profit. most individuals who have never dealt with a TPG have no idea what it costs

PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription other subscription levels include grading vouchers though so you could reduce these costs. add to the subscription cost, per coin grading cost which I think for this one might be $23, shipping & ins both ways (1-4 coins is $27 if the total value is under $1000)

NGC - economy grading tier is $22, plus $10 handling fee, plus $28 for shipping (1-5 coins).

ANACS grading would be $16 but there's a 5 coin minimum. Shipping would be $29-35.

CAC - $99 subscription ($50 grading credit), economy grading $15, gold $28, $40 shipping/handling/ins

i don't slab coins for these reasons especially the cost involved.

EF-40. Not worth the slabbing cost.
