I had no idea there were RPM of that strength on nickels after the 1960s! Great find. =)

thank you guys , I didn't know that it was one nether until I went these morning to VarietyVista and saw it listed , then and I went to Wexler's to double check and they don't have it yet . that strong of an rpm should deserve an FS listing IMO .

When I look at the Variety Vista listing, it almost looks like the weakly punched D bends back in on itself. More like a P than a D. But I don't know how that could possibly happen, since Denver was probably making its own nickel dies at that point, and not receiving anything from Philly.
I agree that it is worthy of a Best of JN RPM at Wexler, and possibly a Fivaz-Stanton classification. Although goodness knows the next time they will publish an updated CPG for the smallest denominations, since they just published one recently. Will you send to Wexler for listing on their site?
