Hi,guys & numismatic sifu's,

Recently, I managed to get hold of a 5 cents coin dated 2022 which seem to be not in its'original planchet, its minted in
planchet meant for a 1 cent coin.
Is not that I dont appreciated it but is just that, now, we live in the yea#341; 2025 & 1 cent was stop being produced in 2008.
Is it possible to get a wrongly minted coin that is intended for
1 cent coin in 2022?
The diameter, thickness & weight is the same as the specs for 1 cent coin.

I attached a photo of the coin here.

The specs for both coins are almost identical:
5 Sen: 1.72 g, 17.78 mm, stainless steel

1 Sen: 1.74 g, 17.78 mm, copper clad steel

Your first step would be to verify that your coin is not exhibiting environmental staining or that it has been plated with copper.

Thank you @Hondo for the feedback & smart suggestion. My next step is to send it to PCGS /NGC for verification & grading. Moreover, I also managed to get hold unto a Malaysian 1 cent 2007 minted onto a 10 cents planchet at the same time.

Well, thank you again @Hondo for the kind suggestion.
