Hi everyone,
The coin has a gold tone, but copper like on the back at one area. Also, it looks like holes have been filled, and some of coin disc edge has been tooled.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

@pan, first welcome to CCF. Second, based on your description of the edge, the porous surfaces, and soft details, this looks like a cast fake to me. As to the timing, it is likely impossible to know, but I suspect that this low quality of a coin would have struggled to circulate with actual coins.

Hello and welcome.

I'd vote "modern tourist copy". An ancient fouree is usually quite corroded. The spot of copper on the back is probably just where the artificial patina has worn away, exposing bare metal.
