I bought this 1954-S nickel on ebay based on the PCGS TrueView images. There is an odd ridge weaving through the S, and what appears to be notching on the top right termination. I cannot match it to any known RPM on Wexler or Variety Vista, either by shape, position, or markers.

I will defer full coin photos to TrueView:

PCGS MS64 5¢, Certification #59810180

Candidate RPM under different lighting angles:

Looks like an rpm to me , but after I sent a few in , I've been told that they were too minor for VarietyVista to be included .

Looks like a minor RPM to me. Your best bet to get it listed is to send it in to Wexler's.

In the process of desk cleanup and excess coin liquidation, I checked this nickel again with an actual microscope. There does not appear to be anything significant to warrant an RPM submission. I think the TrueView pic is a bit misleading, and pushing my little clip-on iPad scope to its limits created the illusion of something worth investigating. This coin is going on the Liquidate pile for 2026.
