Washington Quarter 1974 With Extra Branch

Though this coin look trashed,worn out with alot of scratches. Tried zooming with a microscopic lens and discovered on the reverse a branch from the rim going through the R and D to the leaves below the eagle. It seem to be raised as if it was minted. The rim on the reverse looks bad. Wonder if a wrong planchet was used. It weighs 5 64g,diameter 23 9mm and thickness 1.8mm. Would really appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this coin. Thank you.

Just seeing a normal circulated quarter with lots of damage and scratches. What you're seeing is all PMD from years of circulation.
