i just bought a 1853-o Seated half dollar it looks like it has some doubling to it the date almost look like a repunch . The M-in America has the same back drop to it. Can any tell me if they've heard anything about double dates or doubling on this year

Wiley and Bugert do not mention a RPD for this issue, "There is no variation in the placement of the date and arrows which we believe were punched into a temporary master head die."
