Hey all! I'm genuinely confused because I thought for sure that these two pennies I submitted were going to come back as DDO-001 varieties since they were both very fat, showed lines through the 9's, doubling in the 1, and looks WAY different than a normal 1959 penny, but PCGS doubled down and both did not put a variety attribution on my two pennies, and then after talks through emails said their grading was confirmed and no variety is present. The only thing I can see is that my Liberty and their Liberty is different, but the dates seem to be the same. It looks like there are only two varieties on both coppercoins and VarietyVista and PCGS does recognize both. I was hoping to get everyone's opinion on if these are actual DDOs or if I'm wrong and it's just fat numbering. All opinions welcome, even the ones that I don't want to hear hahaha. First two images are mine, then the example on PCGS, and then a normal 1959 example on PCGS. Thanks!!

Can you give the certification numbers so we can look at the full resolution TrueView images?

I think PCGS is wrong. I'm pretty sure you correctly attributed your coins.
Errers and Varietys.

The cert ending in 49 seems to have the die gouge under the E and the die dot east of FG, although it does not have the scratches through (and under) Liberty and the date. https://doubleddie.com/344622.htmlEdit: not entirely sure, but is that the die crack marker on the lapel, or just a coincidentally placed bruise?

Do you have these coins back in hand? If so, can you get some closeups of the doubling? Please? I see what looks like doubling, but my eyes ain't so good these days..

I see a doubled die but I don't see any of the markers matching exactly. The die scratches run the same direction but they don't match exact locations. Maybe this just isn't FS-101 and instead a new similar looking DDO?

What about the die crack on the lapel? That is much easier to match than die scratches.

PCGS usually doesn't attribute minor Doubled Dies. Try ANACS - they are pretty good with variety attributions.
