Nice one, commems! From nextdoor Costa Rica, here's a 5 centimos and a 5 Colones:  5 centimos, brass, 1979  5 Colones, aluminium, 2008. The lower coin has a face value 100 times higher than the upper coin, but they were never in circulation at the same time. The 5 centimos was still circulating in 1985 but was worth only about one-tenth of a US cent. The 5 Colones is now worth about 1 US cent! |

Hondo, that proof T&T 5 cents is stunning!  Here's a New Zealand 1968 5 cents - I was delighted to find this NIFC coin in my local dealer's junk tray!  And, from the same part of the world, a 2013 Fiji 5 cents:  |
