The lighter color we are seeing is the underlying zinc showing through. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow. It looks like the correct planchet was used in a bezel as stated, but it is now very damaged, the rims and some of the high points of the reverse was sanded or ground off somehow, That accounts for the slightly light weight of it and the silvery appearance of the zinc core.
