This is a Lincoln Cent that has had the copper plating worn off in some areas.
The lighter color we are seeing is the underlying zinc showing through.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Not an error, just damage.
Looks like it may have been removed from a betzel.

to CCF.

It looks like the correct planchet was used in a bezel as stated, but it is now very damaged, the rims and some of the high points of the reverse was sanded or ground off somehow, That accounts for the slightly light weight of it and the silvery appearance of the zinc core.

I agree with JimmyD - this coin was removed from a bezel or was encased. Note the flattening of the rim on both sides.
