I came across this listing on a selling platform and wanted to have any input on if this is the real deal. These are not my photos and these photos are how they appear on that selling platform.

Ooh, yikes, a one look Chinese fake error... Compare to a real deal 1955 DDO and compare the hair on Lincoln to this counterfeit.
Plus you may want to pursue a graded (preferably PCGS, NGC, ANACS), and properly certified 1955 DDO so you know you are getting a real one.

Definitely 100% fake. The details are off. Not even close to the genuine example.

That is a one look counterfeit. Took 2 seconds to detect it.
They are selling them on Etsy for $16.98 and are made in China.

Its crazy to me that someone could potentially buy this. Should I tell the seller that its fake? I would hate for someone to be out of 1k

It appears to be a fabricated error, not a natural occurrence.

A pattern and style of this error can tell you that there will be more coins looking like this of this type and style. I was told by a so-called coin expert that this type of error is a true error. Unlike "machine doubling, which is not a true error. However, I have not seen any counterfeit of the strike doubling/machine doubling. If you see one, please share it with the people. Thank you for sharing this awareness.

Copied, imitated, or reproduced coins/currency should be illegal and should not roam around in the market.

They are illegal in the USA. They roam the market due to lack of enforcement of the laws.

You can try. Worse thing that happens is the seller blocks you.

These coins example looks uniform, and on Etsy.com. It is an example of a true double-die fraudulent scheme. They all should be removed, destroyed, and trashed. Good lord.

Good chance the Seller already knows it's fake and is just trying to move it on and recover what he can.
