PCGS - The Continental Dollar is known to be the first pattern coin ever struck for the United States. This example is PCGS MS64. It's an inherently mysterious issue, as it has no documentation authorizing its issue. Yet, there may be as many as a few hundred or more in existence. Notice anything about its obverse?

Its obverse is like a Fugio cent. That was designed by Benjamin Franklin.
