Hello, I just bought a note, and it says fractional currency on it. It isn't a complete note, it is just half of it (must have been torn in half), I was wondering, what is fractional currency? I searched it on google, but all I found was that it was made during the civil war.. Thanks,

Yup, if you don't want to search, fractional currency is currency (duh) issued by the government to create a stopgap between the huge coin shortage due to hoarding.
