Silver and Gold have been skipping along since last night, much like a pebble skipping across a lake.
My main concern right now, looking at this chart, is whether it will make it across the lake safely, or if it will lose momentum, stop, and sink.
Keep an eye on the Dollar index and the VIX (both are trying to creep up again tonight) any news that could impact them. It's expected that we'll get something tomorrow afternoon or soon, which could restart the roller coaster again.

Silver still hanging around 75. Gold trying to creep back up to 5000.

Here's some more speculation to keep this interesting  The future's were all strong last night and are up this morning. Yet there's nothing really on the wires yet. So unless the big boy's got tipped off about what's gonna happen next, and placed their bets last night, then me thinks it's just the market pre positioning itself for the next move. News event incoming. Buffer zone for Down, Launching pad for Up.  |

Doesn't make sense that the Dollar and Silver/Gold both spiked up higher just now at the same time.. One of them has to be wrong. Could be a fun day / week ahead.  |

The U.S. Dollar index is breaking out above a descending trend line. While Silver and Gold remain elevated and also going up.  I just closed my SLV position after seeing that. Sorry but something just doesn't smell right. Hey, if I'm wrong I could just find a new entry later. But I'm not sticking around. I'll let y'all know if / when I get back in the paper. At least I still have my physical.  |

I'm still in a few mining and strategic metals stocks and ETF's because I think they'll still be somewhat profitable at these levels. But the paper Silver market just feels extra sketchy right now. Not that it wasn't sketchy before. But I'm not giving the Casino my money that easily. Who's old enough to remember Kenny Rogers lyrics to The Gambler ?
