I have 2 1981 S Proof SBA's. I've been trying to determine if these are booth the same type or different. When looking closely at them I go from they look the same to they look different. My gut tells me they are both type 1.
So I need a little help to confirm or deny my thinking on this. Took the best pics I could.

I think it's Type 2.

cannot really tell - the images are out of focus, but I think I see a sharp, pointy spine which says a type 1 MM.

Yea, I tried for better pictures, just couldn't get them. Thanks for the input, I plan to take them to my local coin shop Tuesday as I can't really decide which they are. Hoping for type 2 but figure they're going to be type 1.

First and fore most, glad you found us! Both are type ones. The SBA are actually a nice series to assemble despite the lack of attention they should get. My thoughts.
