This is a better date morgan that trades at $600 at AU58 and $750 at MS62. But it jumps to $1,300 in 63. The coin is mark-free in the fields, attractive and is in the 58/62 slider/commercial unc borderline from what I can see in the pictures. The problem is the long, arc-shaped scratch from the cheek into the neck. It doesn't look like a bag mark and if I was paying this kind of money, I wouldn't want that scratch to be there. AU or UNC details scratched for me.

Thanks for input numis. Here is the scratch in question. Personally I dont think this would detail the coin. Could be wrong. More of a cheek scratch that rubs the neck.

Luster looks a lot better in your last photo. See if you can get you whole coin photos to look like that. It's a process that I struggled with too but it gets better if you keep at it.

I'll bet it has nice luster. MS-63.

I'll say AU or Unc. Could be a slider.
Errers and Varietys.

I would give it an MS63, it doesn't look too bad...

I agree this would make 63 in spite of the scratch.

Depending on the day and the grader - AU58 or MS62

all 3 sets of photos make the coin look different. not sure which one is what it looks like in hand
the cheeks marks imo will not detail it. the 2nd set of photos shows more luster. the 3rd set makes the coin look flat and lifeless. if the luster is there for the most part it could go as high as MS63. if the fields look dull and lifeless it could have been dipped. using the last obv photo you posted it does appear to have decent luster remaining so I'm leaning to the MS63

Thanks all, appreciate the thoughts.
Question for everyone. I paid well under half of what a 62 retails at, would this be a coin to consider grading?

Just took this coin to local trusted coin shop. Their opinion is 63. They are delivering to CACs next month when they are there for me (which will save me some dollars) I will let everyone know it grades at once I get it back.

This is a big coin. It sells for $700 as a 62 and $1,300 as a 63. Looking forward to seeing the TPG's opinion on this one.

CAC is tough, chances are it will come back MS-62 from them.
