I would be very very grateful if someone knew how much this coin I have is worth, it is a 1975 gold ducat coin in just about mint condition. The picture below is how it looks except the one I own is in a lot better condition. thanks, Laura xx

Welcome to the forum!

Your coin does not have any particular collectors value unless it is in BU quality - which is absolutely perfect. But it weighs 3,49 grams of 98,3% fine gold, so the bullion value alone at current prices comes in at somewhat above $ 100. Maybe closer to $ 120.

Agreed. I have recently seen similar modern pieces with "Buy It Now" prices on ebay for $125.00US. The 1933 piece is quite common/hi mintage and commands a similar price even though it could be considered "old". There are rare/"antique" years that command double spot price.

...and speaking of encapsulated modern proofs; they usually don't realize more than 10-15 $US above spot.

You can peruse(?) search Netherlands 1 Ducat Gold on ebay, without even joining the ebay membership, to see what's out there... and also!
