Just found this in my thousands of pennies, oy!
Looks like a die chip. Would this be considered a Cud?

Cool die chip. It would have to be more broken to be considered more like a die break, and then the die break would have to go from one part of the rim to the another for it to specifically be a Cud.

Also, I can't tell from the pictures but it looks like someone could have damaged it and it isn't a die chip. The way the metal is raised and there being exposed zinc. I am a bit rusty though on my skills so I can't tell if that is what is happening.

EDIT: I am leaning towards damage because of the raised metal and missing part of the memorial in that bay.

Thanks for your input SilverStackerKid,
The lighting make it look like there's a piece missing but its solid. The raised part has the most light. it Actually sits a tad higher than the rim so the coin doesn't sit flat.

It's a Die Chip. Definitely not damage.

Not a Cud, a Cud is a break on the edge of the die.
It is a die chip which is not considered an error.

My thought process is it looks like cool die chip, then a couple things start to look weird to me. In the yellow circle I highlighted a ridge that is pushed up metal, a classic sign of PMD. In rhe red I highlighted areas where if it were a die chip, metal would be filled in there, I find it odd that the top of the bay is round where it should be flat. I love learning and I am trying to get back into varieties and errors, so I am just not sure and I am wondering these things. Could the die chip cause a weak filling of the surrounding details?

EDIT: It is damage. I am going to say that even if there is some kind of die chip, it is damaged. There is absolutely no reason for those parts of the memorial to be missing. In the photo of the reverse, not the close up, it looks like someone stabbed something round in the top of the bay. So I would say, if the lighting is not just completely messing with me, that this is very obviously damage to the coin, regardless of if there is a small die chip.

Yes, by numismatic definition, Cuds are associated with a coin's rim.

Hmmm,
if the die chip hit where it looks like it did, it would have cause a displacement effect where it forces the metal away from itself much like a meteor would do.
the force at which the die hits the planchette is hard enough to cause this.

It is a very nice rather large die chip!
The image that SilverStacker annotated, is showing a trick of the light, that entire area is raised up.
