The first site I ordered 6 air tites at just over 3 bucks , at the checkout they wanted 6.75 for shipping , I can get 10 for 10 and free shipping on ebay..or used to.

Agreed , but the shipping is always going to bump it , usually considerably.

Depends on how many you want - that's the key.

Check out
http://www.valleycoin.com (fixed shipping $5.xx no matter how much you order)
or
http://www.gbcoin.com/ (box of 50 air-tites shipped for $20.50 to midwest)

If you only want 10, then fine tune your search techniques on e-bay because ordering 10 air-tites from an established internet store will cost a fortune because of the shipping.

My mamma says if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all.

But I will say this to Canadian customers of Valley Coin... ask for shipping costs before committing to buy. I made a fair ebay deal with them; then assumed same on the next purchase... never assume with Valley Coin to Canada. Don't make me post my invoices... it will be bad for business.

No... I didn't raise crapfest '08... just never dealt with them again after getting no response to my "why?" email. FOR SHAME... forshame... it rained sadness that day my friends... sadness

I feel for ya Brother Golden..feel for ya dude.Mind you I just got the oddest feedback ever from a Canada customer , its a regular item I was selling , it sometimes goes for a buck , sometimes 4 , depends , ebays like that..so the Canadian chick gets a deal at 99c but squawks in feedback about paying 2 bucks shipping to canada..no pleasing some people..really

tell me about it I had perfect feedback on ebay I was very proud of and I sold a baseball card on ebay for a whopping total of 99 cents the card was in perfect shape as I listed in the listing and I got a neutral because it was not in as good of condition as he thought

wetglaswegian...
... BUT, I purchased the same quantity of direct fit airtites twice, on an ebay Buy It Now listing from them(mix and match a quantity of 10). When I enquired on shipping the first time it was approx. $6.00US. The second time(same listing) without inquiring before smacking the B.I.N. button it cost me $14.00US! The weight would have been within grams, if not identical.

I will not go further into this... 'tis all in the past. I shant get me blood all angried up again for no good reason... ooohhhmmm... ooohhhmmm... ooohhhmmm

BTW I have never left anything but positives on ebay. If need be(I think 3 times over 7+ years) and I get my money back from PayPal or otherwise... no feedback. And neutral, I won't bother. I think the best advice is to educate myself before buying anything... and I always ask for shipping if it isn't specific. See, I did learn ooohhhmmm... ooohhhmmm... ooohhhmmm

>>>edit... In this case(^^^up there^^^ cuz I can't say it)I left no feedback. Live and learn. And to think I always take great pains in factoring in shipping costs. There is/was a seller of those Istanbul Refinery gold gram .995 "bars" from, well it don't matter, with a shipping cost of $25.00US. So, I win one for approx. $2.50US. The final cost was appropriate to the item's value... that's good enough for 5 star positive feedback all the way. I have never and never will blackmail someone with feedback. And I have let at least one seller off the hook for obviously poorly catagorized listings where I would feel guilty having fleeced some poor newbie... just sad really. I am not a monster!... usuallynow I dance!

VVV 2nd edit... you mean crazy canuck. It's okay for me to say cuz I am one... a canuck. The crazy part, well ,that's a matter for the courts!! I don't under stand the dancing pepper... sure a dancing orange or a bannanna, or even a strawberry is great... but a pepper?

Aye..its annoying right enough. It was just weird how she worded it saying "she felt funny paying more for shipping than the item cost"
If she had looked others had paid up to 4 dollars for what she got at 99c , just your luck on the day.
Shipping was a buck to US and 2 bucks worldwide..i guess I need to give stuff away and ship at my cost to please some of them.

Ill need to remember and block the crazy canook I'm afraid
