Quote: I need a second opinion before I order. The coin you linked to was auctioned Sunday...so a little late for opinions

I have doubts about its authenticity. There is a clumsiness in the style all over that is not a good clue. The dolphin is not even linear, the eagle is weird and the two faces lack a lot of elegance. Moreover, I don't see any wear at all, which for a coin allegedly produced 2400 years ago is very uncommon, to say the least. In my opinion , it is clearly a fake.

Compare it for instance to this one on all the features I emphasised.

Gosh why didnt someone say this, I paid seller. Clues: Seller has no negative feedback Nobody in his 6500 feedback complained.
Bad clues, his others ancients sell cheap and look fake. This one really threw me off

You should have paid the seller since you bid on the coin and won it. You seem very new to ancients....know the coin or know the dealer. Why buy a coin that you have concerns about? Why listen to some random guy on the internet (who seems pretty noobish also...) tell you it is fake. A big part of collecting ancient coins is educating yourself. All that said, I wouldn't comment on a type that I am not familiar with....especially just from a picture.

I am really confused. Thats why I ask.
The seller has perfect feedback, yet all his coins he recently sold to be honest look fakish to me.
The poster made some good clues, the dolphin not being linear. The details. Looks somewhat goofy, but I would love to have some more opinions.

Good for you. And I would block you on there too if I found out you sold me a fake. With your return policy, it should be guaranteed. Any proof that it is real?
