Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I found a quarter in my pocket change that I'm puzzled about. I figure you guys would be better at telling me if this is an error or just regular wear, but I find it odd that ONLY the L in liberty would be worn off while the rest of all of the lettering on both sides of it are super unworn. So I figured I'd post a few photos and see what you guys think. Should I send it in to be graded or is it just regular wear and tear causing the L in Liberty to be missing. I can't even see any sign of an L ever being struck other than maybe a faint trace that looks more like a sloppy bump in the die so fain I can't even pick it up with the camera.

What you have is called a Grease Filled Die.
Fairly common and adds no premium.
Certainly not worth spending $55-60.00 getting it graded.

Right! Just a "Grease Filled" die - actually kind of common and not worth any type of premium.

To CCF! It's a minor Greaser. No premium as stated. Not worth grading.
