I'd have to see both sides in good photos, but certainly over $100 Canadian. From the photo above, the coin isn't close to AU, so I'll say VF-30 maybe. It also may not be a clip, but rather post-mint damage.

Looks more like damage than a straight clip.
A straight clip would not show the rim pushed in like that.
Show a photo of the reverse and of the edge to verify this.

I'm with JimmyD in the damage camp.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Cut clean on the reverse, ragged on the obverse, no Blakesley effect.
Damaged coin.
Likely clipped back in the day by some one trying to get more than five cents out of it.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Don't see any edge pushed in , maybe I can use microscope on the edge to see if any saw cut lines.and coin is over 140 years old.

I will take in what yous have said, I've heard of people trying to make extra by clipping it themselves. Use video microscope check for any evidence of saw cut lines.no harm in checking. And also the blakesley effect can be not there if the clip is larger but definitely on most smaller clips.

Most likely cut by shear not saw.

I take back the "$100" estimate that I gave. I didn't think that it was a clip either, and now I'm sure with the better pics. I'm sure that all value with the coin ended when the shear hit it.
