1858 cent, in a PCGS AU-55 holder, Dies OB2/RB1, with the big die chip. I have a few other copies of this one, but they all are either lower grades or cleaned.

Wow! Nice coin for a fairly scarce one. Rob, you always have eye-grabbers.

I'm not that familiar with these coins - I'm not seeing a 'big die chip', but I do see a die crack from the forehead to the rim between the 'EI' of DEI, and what looks like a small struck through in the I in Gratia.

The die chip lies between the die crack (between the E and I) and the E. The crack formed first, followed by the triangular chip.

The I in GRATIA is either a planchet defect, a struck though, or old damage, but tough to be certain. It has been there a very long time.

Everything is relative. That triangular chip is as big as you will find on a large cent.

As far as RIDB goes, maybe, but I think the chip from the die fell out. I have seen several of these and they all look the same with the chip about flush with the letter E and the die crack.
