Rubduck...there are other factors (besides age) that determine a coin's value.
1.) market demand ... how many want that coin v.s. how many coins are available, with condition & rarity considered ...
...in the case of your penny, almost 2 billion were struck, so, even in top, uncirculated condition, would fetch under $75 ... & as stated, a circulated example is worth face value ...
...I'll give you an example: I own a sliver coin that was struck by hand in 1535, & is in extra fine condition ... that's a genuine, hand-made, silver coin that's 490 years old ... great shape with fine detail ...
...I paid (2 yrs. ago) $16 US from a dealer ... that's a slice of pizza & a beer (tip not included...) ... see below pic...
...a good way to search value is to look at
completed/
sold auction prices (eBay, etc...) & see what the "hammer" price was ...
...another good way is to ask here ...
