Difference Between Lincoln Cent 1922 Weak D And 1922 Plain?

So, what exactly is the difference between these two?

I mean, they are different varieties, right?
They sound very similar on paper.

Because isn't the 1922 plain technically made in Denver, just lacking the Denver mint mark?

yes, the 1922 cent was not produced in Philadelphia or even from San Francisco. the 1922 cent was only struck at the Denver mint, but the MM was polished away and were produced from 4 different die pairs.
