It's tough to find any 1897 that isn't dull gun metal gray, and yours has better eye appeal than most. I'm at MS-63 here. You have a near date, and it looks like VAM-12, with a very lightly doubled 189, most evident on the 1 below the upper crossbar. Report this Post to the Staff
