okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5584 Posts	Posted 12/26/2025 1:29 pm There are, I think, 3 recognized varieties for the 1947. The first is no mark at the right base of the 7. Next is the 1947 with a maple leaf at the right base of the 7. Those 2 are worth just a 5 cents, unless it is upper AU or better. The scarce one is the '47 dot, with a dot at the right base of the 7 and is the valuable one.. The OP coin doesn't look to have a dot, but the pic isn't too clear. According to the seller, it is the no dot that is valuable according to his description. This is wrong, it is the dot variety that is worth a premium. I sent him an email pointing this out.
