On the first image, which is the reverse, you can read: D(ucatus) GEL/RIAE (as the province was formerly a duchy, it still bears the title of duchy), year and 2 branches. On the second image, the obverse the arms of Gelderland are depicted: 2 lions facing each other. Legends say: IN DEO SP(es) NOS(tra): our hope is in God.
