my Red Book 6th(2020) shows au-50 at $40 and ms-60 at $240, my 2025 Red Book has au-50 at $185 and ms-60 at $250. Huge jump on au-50 pricing. is the 2025 just a correction?
I wouldn't put too much faith in old RedBook prices. Some say the RedBook is obsolete the same year it comes out. You want actuall pricing try ebay "sold" items - or auction sales.
I agree with marv65 I have a little older Red Book (2022) and it list all the 1943 steel cents at MS65 being valued at over 1000 dollars. Which isn't true they do make mistakes. The sold listings are your best bet.
The prices are well out of date by the time a RedBook is released because it takes time to compile and publish them.
The yearly RedBook comes out around April of the previous year. So, your 2020 book probably has late 2018 to early 2019 prices, and the 2025 book has prices from late 2023 to early 2024.
