Thought at first this was a DDR, but after looking much closer it looks like something shifted during the strike? I found 5 more in this role. All 1971/72. Just sharing.

That's called Machine Doubling.

Right. Looks like the coin was struck twice and the planchet shifted ever so slightly.

Machine Doubling - it was struck once and the die shifted during the strike.
