That's actually Die Deterioration Doubling. Both dies were wearing out when they struck your coin.

Agree with the above.

Machine Doubling tends to be in a single direction. Die Deterioration can be either in a single direction (usually towards the rim or major die cavities like the bust), or it can be in all directions. That melted butter look is classic DDD.
