*** Edited by Staff to Add Year and/or Mintmark and/or Denomination to Title. It's essential to have it in the title. ***

Good morning everyone I hope everyone is having a good morning. I'm still wet behind the ears, but I love learning. I found this bicentennial quarter which looks pretty wicked just seeing if I can get some help identifying the damage. As always, I appreciate any help!

Yes, post-strike damage of a blunt force nature.

You identified it yourself. PMD.
How it happened doesn't really matter, damage is damage. Unless you were
there at the time it happened, you may never know exactly how it happened.

A dull hatchet maybe? A metal bar? A piece of machinery? It's hard to tell what produced those dents in the surface, but it's post mint damage. That drummer boy has served with determination. =)

Yep, a damaged quarter. You'll never know exactly how it happened unless you were there when it occurred .
