Hello and thanks in advance for the help.

I found this while wheat roll hunting and thought the date looked off. Seems like some Cud or die chip on the 9 at least, but also some weird doubling on the other numbers

I'm honestly not sure what to make of it.

It can't be a Cud as a Cud involves the rim.
It is a small die chip and the "weird doubling" is
common Machine Doubling which adds no value.

I agree with JimmyD. Die Chips were very common on Cents during the 50's. As he stated, the doubling is typical Machine Doubling.

The die chip on the "9" is minor, but definitely present. The doubling on the date is definitely Machine Doubling.

That said, there is possible light doubling on "ERTY" of LIBERTY and a little more likely doubling on the "UST" of TRUST. Especially notice the second "T" of TRUST. Some of the markers are present that suggest it could be 1957-D WDDO-008 Stage C or D, which may or may not also be an unlisted later stage of DDO-010 on Variety Vista. It's worth checking this more closely to rule it in or rule it out.

Your coin also has a minor, but eye-pleasing, woodie effect.
