It is known that they would trade out dies, not necessarily always new dies to pair up with a failing die to get the most out of each. I too, noticed that the obverse die was tired, just not as tired. They could have aged differently to and always been paired up. Something small but just caught my eye.

I agree with nickelsearcher, very nice job on the pics and BadThad is a good go to for many things.
