Is This 1949-S Nickel Struck On A Thin Or Uneven Planchet?

Ran across this nickel up for sale on ebay. The way that Jefferson's cheek isn't completely filled made me wonder if it's on a thin or uneven planchet. It doesn't have any apparent strike issues on the reverse, though. I couldn't find much on thin planchets that didn't present extreme examples.

The lower jaw area does seem oddly flat.

The angled pic in the listing kinda looks like a Greaser, but it seems like such a strange spot for grease to collect on a die.

A grease strike would be my guess.
