Your opinions please. A close look at my 1974 Ike dollar I see on reverse very strong, bold brush marks from top of eagle's head/neck upwards towards the moon (A), as well as a good portion of the lower half of the moon. And also note the huge gouging space dug out from in front of the beak. And finally on the reverse there are 4 large indentations (punch marks) along the lower inside wing portion. I can already hear the " PMD" ideas, however I see that each one of these lines up exactly with the end of a long groove on the wing - possibly suggesting the finishing tool had slipped and landed hard as it stroked down to clean the feather groove? Any chance this being a 1974 prototype? Overall opinions on the coin are welcomed and as always all my coins are available for sale.

I see die flow lines, a hit on the beak, and possible Reed Marks from another coin.

Die flow lines from a late die state, and Reed Marks. The way they line up with the feather tips is a coincidence—you can see more Reed Marks further out in the fields.

I see a very worn die that caused what you are seeing, Metal fatigue creating the radial flow lined, and contact marks from another reeded coin (bag marks or Reed Marks)
and the 'gouging in front of the beak could be a die polishing operation.

I agree with the others. Die Flow Lines and Reed Marks.
