1989-P Dime With Strange Opposing Misalignment.

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6460 Posts	Posted 02/08/2026 11:54 am Misalignments aren't all that unusual on dimes, but I had a question about this one. The obverse is clearly shifted right, leaving a doubled rim to the left. The reverse seems shifted opposite, to the left, leaving a doubled rim to the right. Is this the result of the planchet being tilted in the striking chamber? The reeded edge looks normal, no railroad rim from metal forced out of the collar. Report this Post to the Staff
