I have made pretty good friends with the bank teller at my bank and she saves me $2 bills every week. My wife thinks I am a little to friendly but hey you gotta do what you gotta do to get what you need. I have taken some pictures of two of them from the last batch she saved for me (she also saves me all the rolled up halves and dollars that people bring in to the bank as well) these two dollars are consecutive numbers which almost everytime I go she has a few that are consecutive like this but these two are just very crisp (the lines are from the scanner not on the bills)and beautiful. I just thought I would share the story and pictures with you, I know they arent expensive or anything but it seems I have found a endless supply of them after not being to find them anywhere else

very nice do you bank at a small bank branch or is a big Bank branch. The reason I ask is I ma looking at changing banks I bank at Bank of America now and it I having trouble getting then newest State Quarters from them since so many people are collecting them. I have found a smaller bank that seem to have them when I need them. SO it seem like for a collecter it migt be beter to go to a small bank since they get to know you beter and more willing to help you. So just wanted to know if you are going to a small bank were they are willing to help you or is it just that you found a good teller

Tellers at three of our banks, as well as the Credit Union, are former students. They take care of my coin needs very well.

I tried making friends with the check out chicks at our local supermarket but I keep getting this icy cold stare that I have been classified as a "dirty old man".....all I wanted was to take them on Mule hunts.....

In 2001 I had checked out the check outs at a local grocery store and finally convinced them how to look for 2000P Lincoln cents with the Wide AM and it worked. They were pulling them out of their cash drawers and saving them for me and most of the time they would just give them to me saying they had already put the penny back in the drawer. So I try to keep them updated on Statehood Quarters or new nickels as I never know when I will need them to "hunt" for me again! As for my bank tellers, well they are constantly asking me to find coins for them or their other customers? I do the best I can do as I have always felt what comes around goes around!

it is Bank of America but in a small town wheer I either went to school with the tellers or went to school with their children, I guess me living in the same town my whole life has its advantages in this situation. The kids at the grocery stores around here are alot younger than I am so I havent approached any of them to search the cash registers for anything yet. And for how many rolls of halves I am getting, I guess I average out about 4 rolls a week and about 2 rolls of sak dollars a week but it seems alot of people are turning in their $2 bills lately, maybe its just hard times or something I dont know but she usually has around 15-20 of them for me every week

It never hurts to be nice to the bank tellers! The occasional gift of chocolate is usually well received... It may not be nice, but I gotta say I usually give new quarters first to the people who don't make a horse's hind end out of themselves pestering me about them. The people who come in and hand me a huge list that includes quarters not even made yet are the last ones to get their order filled! Rachel [:p]

Good friends to have those bank tellers!!.......Hehehehe I made the mistake once of asking the bank teller if she had any two dollar bills.......which she promptly replied "yes"....How many do you want?.........I said "all of them"......she quietly counted out over two hundred dollars worth and was continuing to count as I sheepishly told her that would be enough......LOL There were several uncirculated examples that were in series as well as some older ones........most were of the kind you shown here.....with the 76 reverse......from that time on .I would only ask for any red seals or blue seal silver certificates........

Does anyone get any uncirculated rolls from their local bank? I only ask because I went to my banck (Wheatland Credit Union) and asked if they get any rolls of coins from the Federal Reserve which she told me they don't, they only get them from the coin machine they put in a few weeks ago. One of those coin counter machines they used to only have in supermakets.

It's kinda the luck of the draw. Sometimes we get boxes of brand new coins, but mostly we get circulated coins. We have gotten full boxes of the new State Quarters as they're released, but not too often. I did just open a box of dimes where the rolls are about two thirds bright shiny 2005 coins, and the rest are older. Looks kinda cool in those clear wrappers. Rachel [:p]
