I don't bother reporting these to ebay anymore, they don't listen. I did send a note to the seller who has 100% feedback with about 500 transactions. Here's the ugly and the real thing

Yikes! I'm not finding the auction on ebay - possibly ended by seller?

It would fool me for sure. I can understand the fake coin but how did they get that PCGS number. Or is the number fake also?

Pretty poor counterfeit.

This reminds me to check the serial number with TPG number look up. I have read about fake TPG slabs, but would have a hard time telling from an ebay listing picture if it is a carefully done counterfeit slab given that TPGs have changed slab styles so many times.

Looks like he may have cracked it out of the fake slab and sold it raw to someone else, who then left him negative feedback for selling fake coins.

The obverse looks very much like an 1896 Philadelphia counterfeit I saw a few months back. The obverse dentils, leaves and cotton blossoms, and tooling marks look the same. The 1896 counterfeit had a different - and much better - reverse. It looks like a not-very-good engraver is retouching the transfer dies.
