I'm not sure why you posted this in the commemorative coin forum. I'm going to ask a moderator to move it for you to the US modern errors/varieties forum.

I do not see a problem. Mint marks are manually applied to the die before 1990.

Looks real to me. Just another seller that has no clue what they're talking about.
Errers and Varietys.

Not a fake and not an error, the mint mark can be anywhere in that area between the neck and numbers. Every die that the mint mark was handpunched would be in a slightly different spot.

I figured something was up with that listing, I had no intention of buying it I was just curious.
Now, can someone explain why this topic was moved to this forum but the multiple topics about the 2026 coins are allowed to reside in the "US Commemoratives and Non-Circulating Coinage (NCLT) Including Grading, Varieties, and Errors" forum?
I had a post explaining why I started it in that forum but it was deleted when it got moved here.

Two wrongs do not make a right. But three rights make a left. US Modern CoinsLincoln Cents, Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, Washington Quarters, Franklin Halves, Kennedy Halves, Eisenhower Dollars, SB A Dollars, Sacagawea Dollars, Presidential Dollars, American Innovation Dollars. US Commemoratives and Non-Circulating Coinage (NCLT) Including Grading, Varieties, and ErrorsAll US commemoratives and non-circulating coinage goes here including grading requests, varieties, and errors. This includes all bullion eagles and mint coin sets. The 2026 circulation coins should be discussed here, not there. I need to go look to see what was missed... If you can point one out, please use the 'Report this Post to the Staff' link on any post in the offending topic.

I don't get offended by topics in the wrong spot or by grammar or speeling.
I just went by the title of the forum and the third word is "Commemorative"
I figured any commemorative coin topic could be posted there and since the 1976 D Ike commemorates the Bicentennial of the US I didn't see a problem posting that topic.
But back to this topic
I guess the Hockey counter-stamped Ike commands a higher premium than the "Runners"
Now that I have this on the way I need to find another interesting Ike to fill that last hole in my Ike collection
I really don't know where to post about that since it contains circulated, uncirculated, commemorative and NIFC coins.
Like most of my collection each part is a bland from multiple categories.
